Optimizing AdSense and Enlarging AdSense Revenue Hi. Would any DP members care to share some good tips and advice on how to optimize AdSense, such as good placement and techniques to make more money. I just don't seem to get that much revenue from my sites even though they have really good traffic, so I must be doing something wrong... I guess I have to master AdSense. Ideally, I would like to get more clicks in and revenue. Any help, tips, and/or advice is appreciated to optimize AdSense. Thanks in advance for your replies!
With guidence I changed my placements on my blog, but I am still looking for optimizing to get relevant ads. Its working fine when you view individual post but not on the home page, I think gurus will asnwer it.
what i've noticed with my sites is that adsense relevence has a lot to do with what sub directory your web pages are in. for example, while i was testing some pages, i had them in a sub directory of [domain]/test/page.html. my ads were coming up as "AIDS Test" "Testing Supplies", etc. i'll bet if you tried moving that page to the root directory or naming the sub directory something other than blog, your ad's relevence will change. also, are your meta tags relevent? are you using content tags?
Im not sure if you've read Joel Comm's book but he describes a property that tells adsense what parts of a page are off-limits. This could help you get more relevant ads.
whats JoelComm's book and where can I find it? If you could describe things here then it would be helpful.
That is a paid e-book. The tips is all around the web, and there is no need to waste your bucks on it. Use <!–– google_ad_section_start ––> <content here> <!–– google_ad_section_end ––> Code (markup): Put these two tags at the start and end of your content, and your adsense will only focus on the content to find relevant ads.
