I am unable to achieve rank 1 on google.com even though my site has more content and links.

 

Do proper optimization both on page and off page optimization. You can't bring to the #1 spot in a night. Learn more SEO techniques and you'll surely reach the top.

 

SEO takes some time. At least 3 months to see the real resoults. Link your site with this KW on other blogs, forums, buy some articles and publish them on Squidoo, enzinearticles,.... Just don't link too much. 5 links form different URL's sould do the trick

 

Keep working on the website, you website will gradually move to number one spot. To achieve this faster, make sure not to compromise with the quality of your work.

 

Suddenly you won't get number one in google. It will take time to rank your website. Do well in both onpage and off page.

 

yup your sites only about 3 months old- Keep working on your offsite optimisation - you will get there

 

Don't try to rush it!

You don't want to go over the top, make sure you vary your anchor text too. go for some links with just your site name, in www. format.

At some secondary keyterms (longer ones) in < h2 > or < h2 > tags too.

Then also do some social bookmarking too.


AS A SIDE NOTE...

The image on your header has the istock watermark! - I would maybe buy that image, and use the bought one, without the watermark ;-) It looks very unprofessional to have a watermarked image

 

It means you have not tried it yet.
Because your keyword is less competitive. All you need to do is to create some quality content with your keyword as heading and title. and do a bit of link building.
It wont take as much efforts as required by a competitive keyword.

How old is your website? And since when you are doing SEO and link building? What niche are you targeting for?

It can take months to rank for some keywords depending on the market competition, your effort, Google updates, etc.

 

Seems you need to try more harder on off page optimization, get more high authority links and have keyword targeted, in-depth articles.

 

You are understand, you submit fresh content.....not a duplicate ...
