Google Priority Inbox, how much did you like it ?

Google has introduced a new feature for gmail user, PRIORITY INBOX , to make your life easier while handling tons of emails.

well it's a good effort but the options provided in the priority mail is not new to us except IMPORTANT mail shorting option

Starred and unread were there from the beginning.

Q) Do you think that Gmail can push certain messages as your important message, even though they are not, and thus can act a marketing strategy ?

 

Looks good to me. As we need to filter those mails initially and depends on that it will automatically moves the email.

 

yes it definitely looks more organized.

 

Wasn't suiting me..... moving Notification of Payment received message to inbox.. So disabled it again

 

See it but not try it yet, seem I prefer my filters

 

Fine function and works well, but it is not necessary for me.

 

It looks more like a notice board for me. And yes, this addition helps organize things within gmail account.

 

you can mark it as important again, so next time it will show in priority inbox.

 

Saw it but not used it yet. I'll use it soon.

 

Another one that still waits to try it. But it seams like it will help in faster preview and shorter time frame for Gmail in the working morning for users.

 

i tried it , but getting used to it is such a waste of time ... better of not using it , i can deal with the spam

 

i have just tried google priority inbox and noticed a serious problem, this can arise if you are having huge number of starred mail in your inbox.

In such a case your important and unread mail will come over top and that's ok, but places for other unread mails that will come below starred mail will decreases, so yet it is organized but you have to check other pages too if you are having huge number of mails daily.

So i will say for few user it will be organized but for few it can cause panic.

 

exactly the same happened to me , it made all a mess

 

thanks for you feedback, that means what i hoped is right. google priority mail box can create a mess if someone is having huge starred mail.

 

yup those having a habbit to add twinkles will see this as a problem

 

I liked it a bit as you can get your friends mail at top or any mail which you want to.

 

ya that's right but again if you are having a large number of starred mail then your new mails will appear on next page, that's really doesn't suits me
