Started Up My Blog, What Now?

Ok so I started a blog I plan on posting to daily, so what do you suggest I do now? It's on WP, so I already have a basic traffic system hooked up. Is there anything else I should do to make it better? I'm completely new to WP, and I've always just used Blogger.

I plan on browsing the SEO section to learn tips and tricks to make my site easier to find via Google, Yahoo, Ask, etc.

Basically, I'm trying to think of onsite things I can do to make my WP blog better.

Initially, I'd focus on content. Spend your time writing unique, high quality posts rather than trying to optimise the site before there's much on it. Eventually you can start playing with plugins and themes when the traffic starts :)

I am focusing on content, but I don't want to post everything I plan on posting in one day. So I have some free time to fool around with anything involving optimization.

hmm.. you alrdeay have a plan to post one post a day. Just be consistent with your posting and participate in forums with your link as signature so more people would know about your site.

Whenever I start a website, or a blog, I focus on the content. Why? Well, content is king.

Focus on your content, and then optimize your website. Works out best for me!

I get that, but how do I get the traffic? All I have now are signature links.

I would say you need to first get your on-page optimisation sorted and then start focussing on your off-page work. By off-page you need to build high PR backlinks from profiles and also generate social media traffic

Is Content really king? This question is for Sweely and MichaelSullivan. I personally think Content is King, but there are some SEO consultants who say that content is not king anymore nowadays.

Well about SEO, I have written a post on my blog 8 First Step SEO Ranking Factors for Bloggers. Check out and leave your comments.

    Thanks.
