I spent all day installing a bunch of MODs, etc. There's a V.I.P. Lounge and it's private so I will provide you with a test account. Nothing is in there though. The V.I.P. Lounge is a new addition. I also added an anonymous forum in there, "Secret Society". Also, just to let you know, there is a staff section. It's private. V.I.P. Account- U: VIP P: mypassword *Anything else, PM me.*
Looks like just another phpBB site. Nothing wrong but tweak the template so your site looks unique. Make it nice and colorful - you use colors based no the topic to create vibrance, you might also be able to create some ambience on the site. Aethetics is key when it comes to participatory sites. Is it me or what - site does not load quickly - text does but images are slow. Allow the people to read without logging in. Reading the topics might prompt the user to register. This way you will increase the probability of repeated visitors. Lot of ppl follow the board before they register. This will allow you to have targetted audience. Jerlene.net header -> get a professional logo done. Offer some incentives on top to lure new visitors. Please increase the font size Goodluck...
Thanks a lot for the review. I'm already working on the professional logo. I'm also going to start making the layout "my own". I was thinking about letting the guests view thread, in fact, I already thought they could. Last time I checked it was enabled. The network bar in the very top of the header takes a while to load but it's pretty much just you if that's not the only thing wrong. Everyone else says the loading time is one of the things they like most. Thanks though. Need that and not just a comment.
You are welcome. Visit my article site to get an idea of how to make it look different. My site too is based on the free software available but I changed it to look a bit different compared to many others who use the same software but all they changed was the logo - rest all same - the visitor might say - hey - this looks just like the one I saw - why waste my time here
hm ... is it your new logo ? cause if it is, still doesn't look good/professional, but the website color theme seems good to me, soft color. For username and login, perhaps it's better if you put it above, so that the user who wants to login or register, they don't have to scroll it down to find the edit box and button. Just a though ...
