Problem Transferring Domain TO Go Daddy

I initiated a domain transfer to Go Daddy a one week ago and am still waiting for it to go through. I'm not sure who I need to bug about this....Go Daddy or the place I'm trying to transfer from.

If it is the place I'm transferring from, do I bug the webhost or the actual domain registery company? How long does it usually take for these transfers?

After reading some of the post here at the site about Go Daddy, I'm beginning to wonder if I've made a bad choice.

I'd appreciate your comments and ideas.

GoDaddy is fine. The problem is usually with the registrar its coming from. Should not take longer than 5 or 6 days however. Contact the current registrar and ask if they received the transfer request.

Remember - domains recently transferred cannot be transferred again for 60 days.

Thanks, I'll check with them. It's been there over a year so I'm ok on that point.

    Agree, Godaddy is fine.

What's your transfer status as shown in your Godaddy control panel?

Just call godaddy if you have any issues. They have great customer service.

GoDaddy is actually pretty good as far as transfer is concerned. You should unlock the domain name at the outgoing registrar then do the transfer at GoDaddy. You should receive an email from Godaddy to confirm the transfer and another one from your outgoing registrar and then the process would be done.

Who are you transferring out from ?

It's done! I sent an email to the registrar where my domain was parked and to godaddy as well. Tonight the transfer went through. I'm a happy camper now. :D
