A little advice needed

I want to do two contest for my non profit company 3heartsmag.com. The first contest will be a 14 line poem contest. The second will be a short story over 4000 words. I could use some advice on how much the prize money should be. Or should I do a different kind of prize instead of money. Like a gift card or something.

Any ideas?

 

If contest cant afford good money pool as prizes (i would say all under 2000$) , far better is to provide gifts. Gifts cards or any other stuff. This will work much better. Usually, gift has more value for people than 25 dollars.

Why limit to $100 only?

You should increase the amount to attract more people to participate.

 

Well because this is a non profit company. It will be super hard for me to raise more than $100.
