I recently had a very unfortunate encounter with a hired writer and I would like to leave him negative iTrader feedback. However, I'm also worried about retaliation. As you can see, I'm a fairly new member and I don't want to scare off any prospective freelancers that I'd like to hire. Any thoughts? Thanks, Helen
If you leave negative itrader then it is quite obvious that he will also give you a -ve rating. So, you must deal with people whom you find trustworthy and have good reputation here.
But that logic is completely flawed - the reviews are ONLY skewed towards the positive. You don't have an accurate representation of all the bad.
that is why ebay made changes to their feedback methods, now only negative feedback can be made by the buyer, same should apply here
How about you don't leave him feedback and fool him into thinking that you are happy and let him leave you positive feedback and then leave him negative feedback and send him a message saying "mwuahahaha"?
yeah..that's a mess in this forum. I once left a -ve feedback for a scammer..and as a result I got one from him too...and I couldn't do anything about it But well...that's the way it is. I have 15 +ve and 1 -ve..so I don't think it should really make a lot of difference, however in your case....ah well.. idk..im sorry :\
Leaving negative feedbacks is solely under your discretion and one must be aware of the consequences. You can expect retaliation in the same way or worse. He might even call you a bad dealer or scammer in worst cases. Still, if you really feel that you should give him one neg feedback then just do it. Just be sure that you don't leave fake iTraders (positive or negative) because the mods will be very happy about it.
A while ago one of the scammer in dp had given me 3 iTraders, lol. Actually he was a fraud he have given 1 positive (deal we had) + 2 negative iTrader (jealousy). And within 2 days upon my request mod have kicked him out of dp.
lol. Serves him right. Fake iTraders are something that every dealer and DP should be aware, watch out for and avoid at any circumstances. If just in case, a certain member leaves you a fake iTrader (presumably out of jealousy or retaliation) in which you have never dealt with him in any way then report it to the mods directly. You can either contact them and find them here - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showgroups.php or report the user through this button - (). Don't leave one liner reports, make it informative so that the mods can easily help you out.
That i know can you also tell how to request Admin or Mod to remove those fake iTrader from my profile? And how you putted that Report Abuse button in your post without taking any screenshot?
I don't think the mods will be able to remove the fake iTraders (can a mod confirm this?) as it is an unmoderated area. Oh, I've just copied the image location and just inserted the image like we normally do.
That time i have contacted deluxdon (Mod) & Shawn (Admin) but both didn't removed those annoying iTraders . Oh! I tried to drag and copy but i couldn't.
