when uploading via ftp i only get 60 kbps
is there anyway to improve this

 

Yes of course there is !

I mentioned yesterday that we were expecting many new servers last week, but there was a delay from their side! They should be in this week or next week.

But for the meantime, our IT guys will look for a temporary solution to speed things up today.

Finally I found someone from Filesonic.

I have to ask you this besides the points members have mentioned here.

I find the statistics not quite believiable. As an experiment I split up a certain video file into 3 equal parts where they are all needed to play the video. I posted it at certain forums and waited for the statistics.

At the end of the day Part 1 had 104 points, Part 2 had 14 points and interestingly Part 3 had 86 points.

Why would people only download Part 1 and Part 3 when Part 2 is essential to put them together ?

Can someone explain this to me ?

And I am a premium member at Filesonic.

 

There is several causes :

1) If a premium user download all your parts files within 24h only one download will be counted;
2) Some people just download one part as free user and let the download going while they are doing something else then the day after they download the second part... ;
3) Same as point #2 but they forget to download the others parts and/or they found the same video in one link (sometime in lower quality)
4) They just didn't notice there is several part and they don't know what to do with your file

Still unable to download, same problem

 

if my reply got some people to think and read some posts before replying then i helped in a sort of twisted way.... we can't be all diplomatic....

 

s104 is still down...need to sleep...hopefully by tomorrow the server is ok...

 

so now we use FS.net or FS.com?

 

fs.com is fully functional now

 

i have changed a couple of links. do i have to change them back into com or will they work fine?

 

Now it's all vice versa!
