Hi guys, I'm not sure if you have ever searched around for free traffic systems or websites that provides free traffic. Two of which I've found are leasleap and trafficswam, where the traffic comes from anonymous clicks (which I believe, if you are using free account). But I'd like to know, do you guys believe in these free traffic systems? Why/ Why not? Do they actually work for you? What are the other alternatives that can bring quality traffic to your site (i.e. people really come to your blog to read all the posts you've posted)? Thanks so much in advance for those who reply.
Ya, I know such type of sites as I have created accounts over there and worked for some time over there like as easyhit4u and trafficwitch. This is true that these sites send the anonymous hits for your site and you can track that by various traffic tracking programmes, but infect I don't like such hits, coz these are not targeted visitors as well it increase the bounce rate of your visits coming on your sites. Actually there are various registered user like us and they have submitted there sites for get some free hits, so when we surf traffic in our account, in real we are giving hits to other webmasters already listed site. So it has no worth and can't help by any types to your site just only can increase the bounce rate of visits. It may be beneficial only in the condition, if you want to show the traffic to your client and he is unknown about this system. So in my opinion this type of traffic has no worth.
I prefer to stay away from such programs as well as from buying traffic because it is a kind of blue hat SEO technique and it is risky I think. This risk is not worth doing this, to my mind.
Unless you are selling to a very general passive market, then untargetted traffic can be a very very good thing
You really need TARGETED TRAFFIC to succeed if you want to make sales or conversions on your offers. Those types of free traffic are not very effective for sales or conversions.
As others have indicated the traffic is always going to be low quality. But beyond that, I think it skews your stats negatively so you can't really see where the problems are with your website. For example, someone else indicated that your bounce rates are high, but you also won't have a good indication of where the real traffic (targeted visitors) are actually leaving your site from. Or at minimum, it makes it more difficult to make educated decisions on how to improve your website based on the stats. I have seen some programs that indicate that people should go to a website, stay for 30 seconds, and click on at least one link before leaving. These are basically shared traffic programs. It might increase the exposure some, but the vast majority of your traffic is from people who couldn't care less about what you are selling.
Free traffic websites can be very valuable if they have a good network and solid system going. All free traffic website require your input in order to drive targeted traffic. Most of them simplify link building and promoting but you still have to invest a good 2-3 hours daily to have optimal results. Spend your time wisely, use them only if your first impression implies that they are effective.
If your traffic is not targeted for your site then it is worthless. What is the point of getting 1000 people if none has anything to do with your site... Waste of time and waste of energy. If you want to build a successful website, try not to do an end run... follow the right path and you will be successful.
There is absolutely no use for untargetted traffic (assuming you aren't flipping the site), so I would skip this idea. It's a little unethical if you are indeed flipping the site.
Warner, this is my first time to hear blue hat SEO, guess you meant gray or black. I also make it a point not to waste time registering to those sites because they not beneficial at all.
Exactly what cmoney says. b.morales99 - There has been a discussion on Bluehat SEO - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=731055
I agree with the others here, free traffic is really not much use at all. There are software programs out there which can simulate human browsing behaviour and even navigate to several pages onsite. Really this does blur the stats and the only use I could think of is if someone was the flipping the site, although I seriously hope noone would do that.
Learn SEO and get free organic traffic. That's the only way to really get the targeted traffic you need to sustain you site in the long run.
I used similar type systems years ago (ah foolish youth) Not really worth it. the people using it don't care about what you site is about they are just there hoping to also get traffic to there site. Most likely they aren't going to buy anything or click on your ads. Now if they have a referral system where you get points for people that you sign up, it maybe be worth it if they use it and you don't because you get a few hits without having to waste your time using it manually.
THe best alternative to you would be get to know how to generate organic traffic from Search Engines.
