You shouldn't pigeon hole everyone who disagrees with you into one category.

I'm strongly anti-terrorist, strongly against Islamic fundamentalists who are anti-West, anti-US, anti-Israel, etc.

I initially supported the War in Iraq based solely on the "then evidence" which was widely supported, that Saddam had WMD. I had no belief then and now that Saddam was in cahoots with Al-Queda.

Since then it has become apparent to me, at least, that the Bush administration overstated (lied, misled the public--you pick the description) on attacking Iraq. On top of that it appears they totally screwed it up in a myriad of ways.

Now I think it is a terrible drain on our country and is possibly making us weaker. The administration needs to be questioned. I think there is a small cadre of decision makers who are making miserable decisions.

I don't have all the answers. It would be interesting and hopefully helpful to see a "Going forward" debate for Iraq and discussion which would be non-partisan.

Stay the course, make radical adjustments, set a quick pull-out, set a gradual pull-out, bring in more troops, cajole, pay others to bring in more troops, etc? Who knows. Open the debate to more people with more ideas to develop alternative strategies with more options discussed and evaluated to determine future direction. I'd welcome that.

What category did noting your pleasure put you in?

I can't imagine noting that you were pleased would give you any such impression. In fact, I was amazed that we had something to actually agree on. Unless, you are not pleased after all?

I sense we agree on some things and disagree on more things -- more disagreement than agreement ;)

And that's fine, I understand that. But having noted a point of agreement and noting your pleasure over something that is worth being pleased over, you said "You shouldn't pigeon hole everyone who disagrees with you into one category."

Did we agree, or disagree? And what category do you feel it pigion holed you into?

    That's why I noted:

However, I suggest that if someone is reading a message they don't want to read/accept, there are no credible sources.

    I was correct ;)

Is this the same Rupert Murdoch who voted for Al Gore? The same one who is helping Hillary Clinton with fund raising? I sure hope the democrat party doesn't find out :D

So are all your posts accidently misinterpretting information or just that particular one?

Yep, as with most of your posts I guess. I'm not sure your actually that stupid (I may be wrong) but I guess instead of being able to present a coherent arguement you have to twist and interpret peoples posts in order to fit your adgenda

Aside from your obvious hatred of Christians and Jews as noted in past posts, your coherent arguments lack in substance.

For example; the opposite of pleased or pleasure is displeasure. Since it's common knowledge that al qaida has been weaked for many years now, when EarlPearl offered:

I noted that he was pleased. I had no idea he (or you for that matter) would not be pleased that al qaida were weakened across the board.

    Now we know ;)

Yep, I hate my friends my parents and my brother and sister.

You really are a master at (mis)interpretting people, or would be if anyone actually took you seriously ;)

Getting back to the original post at the beginning of the thread.

We've found out they are hurting....and they know we are hurting from the internal debates in the States. Not all that surprising....but that is a key element of all war.

Try your damdestest to find out how the other guys are doing. In that we are a free society we are transparent with regard to public unrest.

The key for us is to find out how they are doing!

It all goes into the plans for the future.

There's a key difference. They are hurting because they are taking major losses; leadership, etc. We are hurting because some do not have the stomach to continue the fight. Their problems are harder to overcome; ours would calm down if people took a step back and looked at the bigger picture.

I don't agree. We are losing lives, draining resources, possibly overextending the military, we have no capability to dramatically increase the size of the military without a draft which seems politically totally unpalatable, we need to asssess fighting Islamic fundamentalist terrorism across many places.

For some it could be not having the stomach to continue, for others it could be not wanting to fight at all, for some it could be extreme anti Bushism, for others it could be a thorough disbelief in the thinking, strategizing, decision making in the administration. There are many reasons that different people in the States would disagree with current policy.

On top of that it appears we have fewer and fewer real allies that will join us in this effort. That means more weight on the US to confront radical Islamic terrorism.

There are many reasons for us to reassess.

I'm of the opinion that this is a bad war in the wrong place that is not being fought well at all by crappy decision making at the top that led us astray at the beginning and is too stubborn to change direction or relook at the decisions and consequences.

That has nothing to do with conditions in my stomach. In fact I'm hungry!!:D
