What to do if a Client Threatens After Completing the Work?

    Hello guys,

I am in a small trouble (I don't even now whether this is something I should not give much care). A few weeks before a guy had paid me 20$ to publish two paid blog posts in one of my blogs.

I have agreed to do the following things:

3 dofollow keyword links with each of the posts
Each post will be reposted in two other blogs
    Each post will be retweeted
Rss of each post will be syndicated (using any of the automatic tools)
And the post will be permanent

The guy is from US and the content for the blog post was given from his side. Both the posts were published and I 've done all the agreed things. Now he is asking me refund and money for the time he spent for writing the posts, telling that its not useful for him. But how can that be possible?

The page is crawled and indexed by Google as well. And I have done everything as I told him as stated above also reposted in two other blogs of mine as well. (I have done even social bookmarkting as well) I told him that I cannot refund it. ( after all I have done everything and send him screenshots and reports)

Now he is emailing me threatening that he will complaint this in court with his attorney. Is that be possible? Do I have to worry about this? He is continuously emailing me asking refund and now asks extra money for the time he spent for the writing? Oh god, what is this?

What should I do? I am from India. I don't know whats wrong with him - he also have got a few websites and some services online. But why should I refund or pay extra money as I have done the work?

    Please advice me.
    Thank you.

Yes, you don't need to refund as the one who was buyer should have not purchased if he didn't like.
But since he purchased, means he like it.
Just don't worry about anything. :) Let him email... just ignore them.

Don't worry. Just another immature idiot. Tell him to get lost and if he wants to go to his attorney then that's OK as it's no concern of yours.

    Dear digital_Subhi and RonBrown

thank you very much. This guy has been eating my time, brain and yeah peace of mind with his threatening emails. He was telling that I have to send the refund and as well an amount for his time he spent for the writing purpose. He also send some emails forwarded from some other guys showing that it's from his legal attorney or whatever - I shocked to know that he is making this issue very big. Also yeah, I was a little worried as well. He was changing his arguments from time to time. First told that it was not indexed on Google - then I sent him a screenshot of the 'quoted' search. Then he told that where is the rss feed syndication - I send him the details of pinging and rss (wordpress) and the list of sites.

I don't know what he is going to do next. My only problem is does he make anything bad to my website? I have just started earning from that site and worrying about that alone.

    Thank you.

Am I reading your post correctly? 20 US dollars and the guy is threatening you with his attorney? How much is that going to cost him? .50 cents?

Talk about the dumbest bluff in the world..

He sounds like an idiot. Just ignore him.

Yeah, it is - thats what I'm also thinking. But what he is saying is that he is paying for an attorney monthly and he is telling that he will definitely be going to do that. I don't know why he is doing this intentionally.

    :(

Do not be concerned about his threats. You have done what he requested you to do. He will not sue you for $20. It will cost him more to sue you than he could possibly recover. Just ignore is posts, emails etc and he will go away.

Couldn't have put this any better myself!

Just ignore him - no attorney is going to do any work for $20... it would cost him loads more than that.

Tell him to get his attorney to send you an official letter in the post along with his intended action. I guarantee he wont because it will cost him $100+ just for this!

Also tell him that once he has this letter that you will give consideration to the argument and decide what to do from there.

    What an absolute idiot!

Yeah, I know. But in case if this 'crazy guy' is going to spend that and send me something like this - what should I do then? But my question still is - is that be possible to forward a complaint telling that 'not satisfied' for what he had agreed previously? After all for an online blog post?

Even if the matter were $2,000 rather than $20 so it would really be worth getting his attorney involved, the result should be the same. If you did what you promised to do, why give in to someone who is just making vague complaints and demanding a refund? If he has no grounds to request a refund, you have no reason to try to pacify him.

If I were you, I'd filter his emails straight to my trash folder so i didn't have to deal with the aggravation.

He is not going to do anything. Immediately stop wasting your time on this fuck. People like him threaten you to cause you concern - that is the whole point of their behavior. There is no action other than the threat. You are worrying about a non-existent threat. Might as well go snipe hunting if you want to waste your time.

To people like this, silence is the best retort.

You keep all the proof you had correspondent with the person from beginning to end even if he fill PayPal dispute you can show that to PayPal that you did work for him. Tell him go to court and if count fine you then you will pay.. Don’t worry count is not full like the guy..

He is just threatening you to get money back after work done by you as he cannot hire a lawyer for just $20.

I think you're very much correct. I've stopped responding to his mails after posting here. After that also I've got 2 mails. Hmm..I don't think that he will win even if he file a dispute, as I have every evidence with me to show that I've done more than whatever I agreed. But still I wonder, such idiots are there even without commonsense.

Thank you guys, for your support. I feel good. :)
