It looks great! There is always room for improvement and you cant rush these things, the ideas will come in time and from feedback.
Design is good, but it is very important now to build REALLY fast members and traffic ! You probably should buy real visitors from gaming sites.
I agree with this. But how do I "buy from gaming sites?" I'm all over other forums trying to get members, but I don't know the best way. I have to be really careful because a lot of those sites are afraid I'm trying to steal their members. So I do have sig backlinks on other forums, but haven't found any forums or blogs that are truly effective since this is such a niche area.
it's nice, but you can put the recent threads section at the top since that can be more attractive to have a choice where your interest is

Good looking site. I think forums like this that have value of some type to offer always become popular. It will take some time to catch on... have you tried to social market a bit?

Ask yourself what query you would enter in the SE to find the information what you are displaying on your website. And about the name use your imagination.
