Why are we Working so Hard? It bothers me.

Why are we working so hard on our internet marketing business? I see a lot of internet marketers spend more time on their computers (more than 90 hours a wk) than working on a regular 40 wk job. This is crazy. Wasn't the ideal of running online an business suppose to give us freedom so we can do whatever we want? Aren't we suppose to use the net to design our lifestyle? I see it kinda bothering me that a lot of us is not doing that but spend more time on the internet than a regular working job. Are we just opportunity seekers?

I say if you focus on one proven system that really works and put all your energy on that system to make it work, it'll probably give us more freedom. Rather than, seeking out on the next new undiscovered traffic method or chasing after the new make money overnight products.

    You are absolutely right....

So, tell everyone or share with everyone a proven system that works, so they don't have to work so hard and spend so much time doing it.

    :)

Thus those people you're talking they already did their homework but you've to also understand that it didn't happen overnight, but making millions it takes a lot & patients .

Why do we work so hard? Because it's become extremely competitive out there.

And what is a "proven system"? The only system I know is to write genuine, unique content, write it well and then go "all out" to promote it, although with a little finesse as there are some very brutal methods out which I think fail because they are exactly that.

So I shall keep working hard until I either break or I get over the "hump".

I agree with you on too much competition out there. That's the reason why people work hard. I think working harder is not the key. My thought and through experiences is working smarter. I like it to call it leveraging opportunities and outsourcing is really the key. Time does kill you cash flow. I really think outsourcing projects will definitely give you the opportunity for freedom.

I really think there is a proven system out there, actually, several proven systems out there. The number one system I use is building your list and selling to your list. Using leverage to grow your list. It's as simple as that. I know there's other aspects of making your list buy but I'm just not listing it here.

You have to keep trying things until you find a system that works for you, this can take a lot of trail&error and an awful lot of money lost.
Once you have a system that works, you can start to outsource which is the key to putting your feet up and allowing the money to come rolling in.

I am quite sure no-one got rich on the internet by doing no work, finding that system is crucial then you can work on lowering your hours.

I think that Internet Marketing has become very, very saturated and it's really difficult for niche sites to keep staying on the top of the search engines earning consistent cash. Once you have a system down, outsource. But until then, you will have to keep working your butt off.

I totally disagree about competition dominating every search term. Not every competitor can be rated for every top keyword in a given niche. Meaning there are literally millions of terms that people search for daily. The key is to find your own niche and work at it. Long tail keywords work great because they are in fact on the rise. Another great way to get new visitors is following new and upcoming search terms. Thousands of new search terms are created daily that enable us as marketers to profit on.

The big key here is you have to love what you are doing. If you don't love writing blog posts, creating websites, interacting with your visitors, socializing on forums then maybe you should contract out one of the things you find monotonous. That way you can concentrate on what you enjoy doing the most when it comes to internet marketing.

Like I said I disagree on the point of too much competition dominating search engines. You have to look at your competitors very closely and offer your visitors something that your competitors don't offer.

When I worked in WalMart as a manager we used to go around to each store with a pen and paper and spy on our competitors. Writing down when their sales are, how much they were charging, taking note what works and does not work to give our customers a better deal and effectively undercutting them. Especially with the current state of the economy people are looking for bargains to save money. Internet marketing is no difference than working in the retail industry in that both require alot of hard work and some smart marketing techniques. Knowing your competition inside and out and mimicking what they do but better will garnish you success. Rome was not built in a day.

I would not agree upon it either but for a different reason. Online systems were designed to uncomplicate things for the usual folks who were not that much of involved in online systems, there is competition in every field and money is the prime reason for driving it.
Blogs are for recreation but they are being used to earn, voice opinions etc etc ..now thats called usability and a persons industrious sense.
Facebook and twitter were leisure tools and what did people come up with ?? social networking for traffic making ..lmao. everything can be exploited online as well as in real life.

Most people who succeed in this market are those that put lots of time into it. Unfortunately, that goes for just about anything. The most successful businesses out there today were typically started by someone who was passionate about working and WHAT THEY DID.

I capitalized that last part because some people forget that in the world of internet marketing. A lot of people like the link building process (I particularly don't) but I still think it is important to build websites around things you are passionate about. It helps in the long run, I promise. :)

Some will say it doesn't really matter if you start something that you're passionate about.

But, i have to agree 100% with you..

And, I love the link building process, that's how I make my money.
