Feedback Why don't mods/admins have their name in a different color or have mod/admin tags?

    Just because they are also same as other members (with extra power and responsibilities). BTW you can call them secret agents on mission as well :)

    @OP, There's certainly no point to highlight them out. If anyone ever wanna contact a mod, they can just use the Showgroups page under Quick Links.

    Amm.. have you ever noticed a mod suggesting/informing (as authority) to members outside of Suggestion and Feedback?
    May be I missed those threads..

    It is common for even regular members to comment in 'Suggestion and Feedback' segment and hence, perhaps the staff needs to be distinguished in this section itself!

    Well, when a mod/admin sticks out and posts in a thread, it has more meaning, in my opinion. People hold those replies/posts to a higher value knowing that the person is an authoritative figure. I noticed some of the titles on DP have to do with World of Warcraft, so, if you know anything about the wow forums, people go nuts when a blizz employee posts in a thread (people call it a "blue post"). It also gets marked with a symbol that a blizzard employee posted in the thread.

    I think it would help people to be more cautious since they'll see admins/mods in plain sight.

    People shouldn't need to feel cautious though. And just because someone is a mod, it doesn't mean they are always right.

    Ok, so, do you think that all forums should not have special titles/colors for their mods. Also, how'd you get the idea not to have mods/admins "stick out"? (I'm jw)

    Other forums can run however they want. What works (or doesn't work) for us doesn't mean it will be the same for other sites.

    The job of the forum moderators is keeping the community clean, safe and deleting inappropriate contents. So, there is absolutely no point in distinguishing them from other members. They are also members like us, but with extra responsibilities.
