Hello, this question has been on my mind for awhile. Can a blog like: www.etcetc.blogspot.com be ranked in Google? Can I get it too the top page of Google as well?
When I read the title of this thread, I thought the question was about their links value. I mean, what is the value of getting links from too many blogspot.com blogs? would that still give you SEO value, taking into consideration that it's a single domain after all. So, if I got 2 backlinks from 2 different blogspot.com blogs with PR4 each. Will this be the same as getting 2 PR4 links from 2 different domains?
I have old blogger blogs from 2006-2008 with PR of 3,4, and 6. The PR6 one has literally been stripped of all its content but ranks very well for the stuff that's still there.
Blogspots can be optimized pretty well. I would just use them for a backlink to your money site though.
Sure you can make such a domain name rank. But please tell me why on earth do people create subdomains with www. as a sub-subdomain? LOL I mean somerandomcrap.blogspot.com is good enough. It's already a subdomain. Why add www. to it creating something even longer to type and harder for people to remember. Do people really think having www in front of a subdomain name somehow makes it look "official"? It makes the site look cheaper than having it hosted on a free site like blogspot or wordpress.com already makes it look. If you're the least bit serious about making something out of your blog then I'd highly recommend spending the $6-8/month it costs to host your own top level domain. You'll thank me if it ever takes off. However, if all you're doing is hosting photos there to share with your family and friends then blogspot or wordpress.com are a great choice.
Yes you can but. Now its not easy to get high PR with Blogspot subdomain. But if you buy a custom domain and then your work will more easiar ..... If you dont having any hosting then you can use Blogger free hosing ..
Yah, thanks for the replies. Cause i had this blog awhile back, and I couldn't find it with google for some reason, than i forwarded it to a domain and it popped up on google.
One of my blogspot blog is in top 1 in google even if it's not updated. It ranks well in google maybe because the keyword is in the url also.
