Question... Links on forums usually more for traffic then for backlinks... I mean each forums provides only 1 or a few backlinks (from profiles or may be one post). After that Google doesn't pick them up. So, i wonder if pinging forums post can change that... Any thoughts?
Negative Google crawls all the links on a Forum if it's crawled at all. There is no SEO benefit from a zillion links from the same site but that doesn't mean Google doesn't know about them. There is no reason to ping popular forums because they will get indexed rapidly on their own so you are wasting your time.
Is it necessary to ping forum posts for quick indexing? Usually, if you start a new discussion on these quality forums, such as DP, you post will be indexed in several minutes. Yes, even if you don't do that job, you can get it indexed easily.
So then its clear that you don't need to ping the forum everytime to make sure that your blacklink is counted. Any how your backlink is not counted so early, it usually takes time.
