Bing’s search engine market share has risen 51% in U.S. Will It capture more market share then Google and Yahoo?
I'm wondering how Bing's growth will affect Facebook. Or, do they stand a chance in going up against Facebook? Who knows!
2010 Google Yahoo! Bing Ask AOL Search Total 2010-07-31 71.43% 14.43% 9.86% 2.32% 1.19% 99.23% Bing took over yahoos search engines, now bing has risen from 9.86% + 14.43% = somewhere 25%
Now, go to yahoo, do a search, and tell me where you ever see bing mentioned. Then I will tell you what you don't understand about that whole thing.
It is growing steadily but not even close to 51%. The market share of bing according to BBC is 12.7% from the time of its launch... Source: bbc.co.uk/news/10628973
I hear something about buying yahoos search engine. We I will get visitors from bing than I will believe this type of posts.
Now that yahoo is serving up results based on bing I think google is more likely to dominate and increase market share or whatever you want to call it. Bing's results are terrible in my opinion. Yahoo wasn't perfect and not as good as google, but they did much better than bing. Maybe the less techie or webmaster people won't notice I don't know. But now the only thing I will use yahoo or bing for is just a quick peek at where keywords might rank there. Otherwise I'll be almost all google. Too bad really for yahoo.
Wrong! Keep guessing. @gameutopia, you are most correct but my non-tech wife notices the difference and hates Bing.
Drhowarddrfine... i thing the URL which you gave was wrong/it was the update of July 2010 month. You can see the latest stats here.. Bing Market Share 51%
Right on all counts in my opinion. Bing (and as a result: yahoo) wants to be different. But different doesn't mean better. I've found Bing's result to be spammy, and wholly less relevant than the search results that google provides. And just to keep it on topic of the thread: LOL. Bing's market share, as a percentage of what they used to have relative to what they have now, may have increased 51%. But I surmise that the bulk of that increase is from them now powering Yahoo's search results.
