Facebook is clearly the most popular social networking site, and it trails only Google as the Internet site with the most visitors. If you don't count YouTube, the video sharing service, as a social network, then Twitter is firmly in second place, well ahead of additional rival LinkedIn, a business networking site that had nearly 13 million monthly visitors in April 2010.
I think it depends on how used you are to the platform really. Personally I know Twitter inside out and can get 1000 followers on any account in a breeze. So for me its Twitter. When you know what you are doing and more importantly are consisten you can easily build a massive list (10,000 followers) every 30 days that you can market to. But I also know that some people can get similar results on Facebook. So I guess its up to personal taste and affinity in the end! Cheers!
This is interesting, check out the latest post from Gary Vaynerchuk. It's a video where he talks about Facebook vs Twitter.
For make money online : twitter, but for more to get in touch with family or close friend : facebook.
i look at it this way if you are talking strictly about marketing you need to use the big 3 and i like to tie them all together 1.twitter 2. facebook 3. craigslist they all have their benefits but when used together you can pretty much be unstoppable
don't think it is suit to talk about which is better , because you can do different things by twttier and facebook , and talk about "how "and" when" do" what" is value more ! such as , what kinds of sites is suitable to do seo at twitter and how can make more taffic ?
Of course i would say the best is to use the two... However, if you want interaction from a community then facebook is probably best. But when it comes to ranking fast, and getting a buzz quickly, facebook doesn't touch twitter. People tend to use twitter to get a buzz real fast, whilst using facebook to build a tight-knit community.
I like facebook because, easy to use, all the full features, such as games, forums, chats and updates the status, I like this
Twitter is driving me much more traffic to me than Facebook I've gathered over a 100 followers in the past few days, that are all interested in my niche, and I'm still getting more followers everyday I easily get visitors whenever I tweet a new update to my site accross them
depends on where you are going to use the site for.. they are totally different site that offers different features.. but both are good on deriving traffic, you just have to be sure that you are on the right page.
