    local directories list depend on where are you from ? if you are from England so you need directories in England

    Search for a common term in your region, such as "lawyer [your city]". Then poke around in the Googles Places results. Not only will you find local directories, but you'll also find the ones that Google is paying attention to. Repeat this for a few other common business searches and you've got yourself a list.

    I am from india and handling some usa based projects. thats why i need local directory so my projects keyword rank on usa. I have searched but didn't get good responce.

    If local means US, I guess most of the directories were hosted under a US based web hosting provider which is all you need to know. Directory Critic provides a good list of directory sites, free and paid, and article directories.
