taobaofocus.com is up and running already for some time, i'm thinking about some redesign, especially the sidebars; would also appreciate if you give your feedback about the content and navigation, is it friendly and clear to you?

Taobaofocus.com is a website dedicated to shopping on taobao.com and offers taobao shopping service.

Waiting for your reviews, thanks in advance.

Please don't take it otherwise but the colors used in the"how it works? section are not easy to eyes..If you can use lesser bright colors,it will look more sophisticated

hey, checked it out - my one thought is that the orange is so bright that it looks like a call to action, but because it is everywhere you end up looking all over the place trying to work out what to do next. i'm of the opinion that you need to lead the visitor a little more clearly than that (i.e. where do you WANT them to go?)

Thanks for your comment and yeah, I got your point. I'll think about make it more 'soft' in orange, though as for 'what to do next' - the main point is to read the content and for this kind of business, people usually look for different solutions and different needs.
anytime thanks again, i'll figure out what should be done in this direction.

I tried it but in Firefox when I mouse over the Taobao Zoom menu, I cannot select any of the submenus. As soon as I move the mouse, the dropdown disappears. Overall I am not opposed to the colors though.

yes, i've just places that shop list. i'm looking for a better presentation of it.

probably it is because you move your mouse too slow, if you do it naturally, it should work. please let me know if it works, if not, i'll get the layer closer.
    thanks.

Colours are a bit bright, maybe not great for certain people to read, some of the content and navigation text looks like the english was translated using google translate which doesnt do a great job -

"Estimate Taobao Order Cost" seems very long instead of "delivery costs"
"Categories Taobao in English" is a bit long instead of just "Categories"

etc. maybe best to have some of the text checked by a native speaker or tidied up some.

i'll check what could be the problem. and thanks.

    Thanks for your review.
Im myself not a native speaker. Actually, the text is very simple, so people with basic English all around the globe can read it - it is very important for us. As well, if you translate it with google translation, you'll get a very clear translation in foreign language :) As for long description titles and many similar elements, thats SEO work: with those one-two words titles I wouldnt get any SE trafic.

It would have helped me to have the menu links "What is Taobao.com? Why do I need help? What I can buy from Taobao.com?" above the rotating pictures in the middle. I had a hard time in the first several seconds finding a familiar landing spot for my eyes since I had no idea what taoboa.com was.

For me, the site is good and simple. Just focus more on your sales, do more on marketing it online.
