    Hi

My site was on 2nd page in google with my targeted keyword, even when there was not targeted keyword anywhere in the content. It was in meta tags only. when i added the keyword in the content, it didn't effect site ranking anyway.

I had same experience with my other sites.

I believe content optimization is not working for google now.

    Reply me please.......

you are wrong dude, looks like you have just put some keywords in your page contents and by this you have increased the density of your keywords and that should not be a problem, you just need to wait for a while to get again same rankings.

Correct done it works still like charm. Added a few changes on a client's site yesterday and it may have been a bit of luck with googlebot's visit, but I could improve the ranking for a desired KW from #120+ to #50 in minutes, thoug I expect the harder part to come now.

How long did you wait after the changes you made ?
And how big were the changes you made ? It is possible that a small change does not effect.

Google uses the meta title in displaying the site which is relevant to the search query. Try to use that keyword also in your body content.

    Hi,

I think you might have draw a wrong conclusion on page contents issue. H1 tag, keyword position, keyword density and other factors would all be important for SERP purpose. Also, search engines need time to re-evaluate your pages. :)

    have a nice day,

For on page meta tile and description both are very important things. And another thing you can do is increase the keyword density in your body content part and just wait for googlebot to come and crawl your page.

You made it sound like you only added your keywords once. If you did that of course its not going to help. Try making your keywords at least 5% of your page.
It does help man you just need to put more effort.

If 5% including title, content and meta tags then little fine. But only if you suggest to include 5% in content only means definately the taste of the content will be tasteless and 5% is not recommended if you really wants people stay on your page.

If possible then change your on page website information, according to your website theme and content. It will be good if you update your content with proper keyword density.

I have not found any reason to agree with you. I ranked my site first on completely through ON-SITE (meta, keywords etc.) it ranked well then I started OFF-SITE.

With the On page also do some Off page of your website.. This might help you for the same.
