It really depends on how you acquired those email addresses. Buying lists from websites, is really a hit or miss, but I think its more of a miss, because you really don't know anything about those people or potential customers. If you build your own list, well that's another story.. That can have a huge effect on your marketing campaign in a good way.
Of course, I wasn't planning on buying a list. I was planning on building my own, it's just that Aweber is $20 a month, and my hosting service expenses are already about $100 a month cause I'm on a dedicated server, and I wanted to know if I would be able to make a profit out of email marketing.
Hi, Aweber is, I'm sure many would agree, the best out there. If you build your list the right way and develop a relationship with your subscribers you won't notice the Aweber fees at all..... On the assumption that your hosting is cpanel then you could use phplist and run your own list if you really wanted to save the $20. Good luck with it all. Andy.
Yeah but is that free list really any good? Does it compare at all to the features you get with Aweber? I don't mind paying the $20 if I can make $21 with it.
A large double opt-in targeted email list can be incredibly powerful, like $200,000 in 24 hours powerful if large enough.
That's not gonna happen in a LONG time. I may try the free php one to start collecting e-mails and see if there's any return on investment.
You'd be suprised how quickly you can build a list of 1,000 - 5,000 people and then you're off. Good way to build a list is with squeeze page, with viral facebook share and twitter retweet buttons to make it more viral and then leverage free traffic such as YouTube by water marking videos. If you want to pay for traffic media buys are a good way to build a large list such as PPV traffic.
No problem, product launches very good ways to build a list also. If you get affiliates to send you targeted traffic and you limit the amount you sell say 1,000 copies then once you've sold your thousand copies you simply close the website and replace with a squeese page to capture as many email address as possible. You'd then over maybe 3-4 month build a relationship with your list making some small time commissions out of them and then you can piggy back your second product off that list, you'd then close that product down and then build an even BIGGER list from that product. See where this is going, and that'd all be free apart from launching your first product, then your profits would pay for you to build a list for free and make money at the same time through a product.
That's true, but I've never seen an actual example of it being true. Then it's good you helped me, thanks!
Now you just need to TAKE ACTION! Good luck! Just remember me yeah... when you've made your first million
