If you want a free theme, there are plenty out there. They're just for the most part not going to be as well designed, functional or well supported as paid versions and that's something people should learn to accept.
I downloaded commercial themes before, and they all have hidden links. Some of them are hacked for money, of course you can download it for free, but you will pay a lot in near future.
