How much is a pound of stuff worth? One thing about EDU's is they often get deleted as the class year changes.
There is some type of pricing structure available based on PR so it's not a "pound of feathers/pound of bricks" situation. I don't see how some random .edu's deleting blog posts of past students has anything to do with the question, "Whats a unique EDU blog article worth?" An example answer to this question would be, "If the base URL is PR6 or higher, $XX/month for the life of the post"
Yes, the major problem is that they got deleted. So the price in addition to PR alexa etc also depends on the retaining period of the links.
It depends on the niche, and whether or not the blog is linked to from the .edu. A lot of blogs are orphan pages (no incoming links from the edu) and are worthless.
