I read now.... that it is the umpires and the scorers who have denied Sehwag a century and not a Sri Lankan!
These people were just plain ignorant of the law!

    Law 24 (No Ball)

I wonder.... where is the ambiguity and how did umpires not give six runs to Sehwag?

Exactly, how can umpires say that it wasn't a six.

If the umpires and scorers have made a blunder which is clearly evident from the rule book, I guess ICC should award six runs and declare a century in Viru's name... even now! :)

Yes, Rightman. In this situation Sehwag is completely fit for century. ICC should interfere in this matter.

Today... Sri Lanka face New Zealand in the second round of matches. Both teams are on at par and have to put in their 100%... as the loser today will have tough time to survive in the competition.

New Zealand won the toss and expectantly... chose to bat first.
However... the play could not get underway as it is raining heavily at the moment! :(

Yes... that is good. Sri Lanka will be more than happy to do the toss once again and try to win it... to be able to bat first! :)

Surprisingly... New Zealand won the toss but still elected to field first!

Sri Lanka have done well so far... scoring 75/2 after 15 overs, with Dilshan falling on the first ball of the 16th over!

Even the match on the reserve day could not be completed as rain interrupted its progress as well! :(
Sri Lanka would not be happy with the sharing of points... since they will have to remain at the bottom of the points table.

Next game on Sunday between India and Sri Lanka is going to be a cracker of game as Sri Lanka will look to come hard at Indians... particularly due to recent controversy between them!

I wish India wins the toss and selects to bat first tomorrow so that we can see some good score.

    Guys,

I wonder the rain will play its part on Sunday's match as well as the whether is already Gloomy at Dambulla. I hope there will be a good contest. Specially between Randiv & Sehwag.

It would surely be refreshing to see India put up a total... for a change. I guess it has been a long time since we saw Indian batsmen playing at will! Hopefully... Dhoni would be lucky with the toss today! :)

Yuvraj has been pretty uncertain with his form and his place in the team since last many months. If he does get to play today... he better be good and do justice to his inclusion!

SL won the game. India have less chance to qualify for the final.
