If you make lens, you should be frequency update. i have many traffic from squidoo. you can promote it by submission or somthing else...
There is no limit on posting lenses in squidoo but be careful to put too much link with your lens to avoid being banned. Talking about generating traffic with your lenses well ink building is the very basic just try yahoo answers, bookmarking, blog commenting and more.
Be careful where you are posting things like that, you could get banned if you don't post in the services forum.
Is it against any sort of policy to pay others to "like this lens" and rate and comment? If it isn't, I'd like to pay people minimal amounts for each like, rate and comment left on my lens. (this may be the wrong area for this question - just didn't know where to post it )
I still have a Squidoo lens on first page of Google for a competitive keyword, plus many direct PR2-PR3 backlinks to my websites . Squidoo is certainly not dead, traffic is constant for the last twelve months on my lenses anyway. There seems to be a misconception here about outgoing links on your Squidoo page: I don't know about any overall links limit on a lens, but sure there is a limit to the number of links that point to the same domain! (can't remember the exact number though) It makes it tricky to directly put 15 CJ affiliate links on there, but you shouldn't have any problems getting a couple backlinks to your sites. Oh and if you try to publish a lenses with too many links pointing to the same domain, they won't ban you outright you know? They'll just don't publish the lens and they let you know why so you can make the appropriate changes
HAHAHAHAHAH! Squidoo is alive and well! The problem is that you guys are just looking at it as a backlink to another site, instead of building links TO your Squidoo lenses. I get thousands of hits each week on just a handful of lenses.
I have been an online business for years, and my best advice is to not worry about how long it will take! You need to start on the next article and create the next property!... then the next, then the next, and so on... Just keep pumping out the articles, building properties at Web 2.0 sites, and getting backlinks. The link below has a list of places to do this... so you don't have to always use Squidoo...
