    Hope you are doing great.

I am living in Pakistan and today Pakistan is facing the worst flood in the history. Please see the intensity of flood one week ago here http://www.slideshare.net/Nubiagroup...-pakistan-2010 and the situation is even worse now. Kindly read in detail here http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-south-asia-10961640

As an individual, with some friends, am looking forward to help human beings who are in trouble. There are more than 2 crore people effected by the flood. We are planning to help them by providing food, so that at least no one dies anymore.

We are doing our best, to help as many as we can. But the need is limitless, if you like to financially contribute to the cause. You are most welcome my friend. In case, if you can't contribute for any reason, am still thankful to you for listening.

Please know that if you are hesitating due to small amount contribution. Kindly don't as even your $1 can help someone live some more time. One more thing, I'll personally manage all of this and make sure that the funds are used only for helping flood affected people.

Payment possibilities are immense, Paypal (if you are abroad) would be the quickest option. Please Paypal to and kindly mention your full name with DigitalPoint reference.

Otherwise, within Pakistan, we can personally come to collect from you.

Thank you deep from my heart.

    Take care.

    Best Regards,
Just another human being whose heart cries....

I appreciate your moral support and concern my friend.

Sure, you can financially contribute to any place you trust. If you don't feel the trust in giving me the money, you can definitely provide it to Google.

But just to share with you am a DP member since 2006 and have never been banned or spammed anyone. And unfortunately, they take quite sometime to provide food to the needy people.

We will be visiting the camps today and taking the food to them tomorrow. So anyone who likes to be a part of this good plan, you are most welcome.

Thank you everyone for listening! :)

If you take snaps when you visit those flood areas and show the snaps here then you will get more trust from people. Otherwise nobody will trust you no matter how old member you are here.

You are right Jahangir, will definitely do that today. Am trying to collaborate with some other guys and do a mutual effort. Let's see how it goes but will try to visit these camps, as much as possible. Those who need some more trust guys, will share snap shots with you.

That's a good idea. A stack of pictures showing what the OP and friends are doing might go some ways towards getting past the 'it's a scam' first thought most people will have reading this.

Well, yes you are right. And thinking for your perspective, it makes 100% sense. Am charging the batteries. Camera is ready too.

Am personally a Muslim, and this is the month of Ramadan where we fast. Will have to go for prayers today, and then hopefully we will visit the camps. Just hope it won't be too dark.

But my first motive is to prove that "this is not a scam". The reason is I've personally been scammed in helping someone here at DP. Its unbelievable but a hard truth.

So my friends, give me some time and I'll surely prove it. Thank you. I wish I'd taken those pics earlier but never mind. When there is a will, there is a way I guess :)

So you are the group of 2 friends?

And how are you helping those people? Do you first ask them what they need or you just take food with you and give it to them?

Very nice effort I would say :)

Yes, today was more like a visit day and we took some money with us to help with important medicines. Will visit different camps tomorrow and food is an issue, we know that. But we need to find people in camps who really need the food and are extremely hungry. Because we will prefer those people who're more hungry than those who have had enough food.

More people are joining in but everyone has their work too, and its a busy month of Ramadan as well so there are other people on back-end who're contributing monetarily.

Thank you for your appreciation. It really counts my friend!

Sure, God will definitely help us. But we need to help ourself first. Looking forward to individuals who can even just donate $10 - It can really make a difference my friends! - And trust me, the good that you do today will come back to you many more folds later.

Be the change! - as this disaster has more impact than the 2005 Pakistan EQ, Tsunami, Haiti EQ together. - Just imagine, if you were the affectee (think once)..... its high time my dear friends.

Thank you to two people who've come forward and sent payments to Paypal. God bless you both. In total, it sums up to $75 ($50 + $25).

Wow, one more $100 donation. Thank you! - I guess when the intention is correct and people have trust and faith on you. It all seems to work. Because in my perspective, am just a very little guy to help the flood affectees. However, together with a mutual effort, am sure to make a difference.

    Jim Rohn:
A good objective of leadership is to help those who are doing poorly to do well and to help those who are doing well to do even better.

    William John Bennett:
A kind and compassionate act is often its own reward.

    Mahatma Gandhi:
As long as you derive inner help and comfort from anything, keep it.

    Sir Thomas Browne:
Be charitable before wealth makes thee covetous.

    Helen Keller:
Believe, when you are most unhappy, that there is something for you to do in the world. So long as you can sweeten another's pain, life is not in vain.

    Elizabeth Bibesco:
Blessed are those who can give without remembering and take without forgetting.

    German Proverb:
Charity sees the need, not the cause.

    John Ruskin:
Every great man is always being helped by everybody; for his gift is to get good out of all things and all persons.

    William Arthur:
Flatter me, and I may not believe you. Criticize me, and I may not like you. Ignore me, and I may not forgive you. Encourage me, and I may not forget you.

    Aeschylus:
God loves to help him who strives to help himself.

With these positive vibes, let's prove that we are the good man on this earth and help the flood affectees with whatever amount we can. We have a lot of payment options, from Paypal to wire transfer and even Western Union. Let's do it! :)

Once again, I'd request to just participate no matter if the amount is even $1 - it helps.

Okay, I've sent you a donation. Here's what I would like in return: I would like pictures of you buying stuff and pictures of you handing it out. Seem fair?

Thanks a lot mcfox, $25 from his side. Really so generous of you. Sure, it seems 100% fair.

At the same time, I'd like to explain the situation too. There are areas for example Jacobabbad, Shikarpur and other areas which are 100% destroyed. Army, Navy, NGO's and everyone else is working over there to move those people to our city namely Karachi. Affected families are moving to camps, here in Karachi. And we've been to two such camps and helped, that you can see in the photos and audio interviews.

Now we are facing two problems. First of all, country riots and bad situation due to political issues and party politics. So going to a far location of camp is a challenge for example Gulshan-e-Maymar or Bin Qasim Town. And the camps that are located comparatively nearby for around 30 minutes of car drive, people are getting food there now from the management. There are other problems but we are solely looking to provide food first.

And the second problem is, we need higher amount of funds to directly go to Thatta, Dadu, Punjab, Muzzaffar Garh and such areas. Its quite far from here, where the flood situation is still worsening. So the best solution is to collaborate with efficient working NGO's. I know some names and will do that too. But again, we need more funds to do that. Because then and then only, I'd be able to play a role personally and go there as well as take snap shots too. Hope you understand the situation.

Am waiting for more people to respond positively and collect a handsome amount of donation to quickly start action in affected areas too. As this is monsoon season and the flood is really devastating. According to the forecast of Pakistan, it'd be even worse till the end of August at least.

So hope you understand my situation but trust me, not a single penny will go wasted! - Thanks for the trust.

Best of all, you took an step forward to Be the Change!

    I wish you well.

I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting you to head into the worst affected areas, only to do what you can in the area close to you.
