I am looking for a free opensource shopping cart software that has the capability to have a 1 page checkout process.... That would be going from cart -> 1 page of checkout -> order submitted The checkout has address, CC info, shipping, etc all on one page. I currently I use Opencart for a couple of my sites, however with a bunch of modifications I can only get it down to a 2 page checkout. I looked at nopcommerce, which looks PERFECT! But I need this to run on a Linux server with PHP as I am not very good with ASP.NET Any suggestions?
http://www.magentocommerce.com/ I think that'll cover everything you're looking for and more. They've got a features page specifically touting the one page checkout here: http://www.magentocommerce.com/product/features/checkout1/view
Just a heads up: I haven't used it myself yet, but I've heard it can be a bit of a resource hog and might run slow if you're on an overstuffed shared server.
Free Shopping Cart??? - Create a PayPal Acount - Create Buy Now button for each product ~~> That's all what you need! It's free and easy!
Magento's themes and layouts are turning out to be a COMPLETE PITA for me to edit... Its like learning a whole god damn platform.. Not to mention the admin interface for managing things is very non-intuitive... I dont have time to learn it. With open cart I could just go in and start messing with the code so easily. And it was much more intuitive on the admin side of things. I'll just have to stick with a 2 page checkout for now I guess...
you can have a joomla virtuemart shopping cart its open source with lot of customization possible - and its the best and completely suited for your needs - if you need to setup it up for you do let me know. Hope this helps...
Magento Commerce does indeed fit your needs but as has already been mentioned it can be a bit complicated when editing. There are guides, and if you have the time it's worth the investment. If you have money to invest then getting someone else to make your modifications may be a route to turn to and enable you to spend more time on the business and marketing side of things. If memory serves I think CS-Cart also offers a one page checkout system and it's a great bit of kit, but it does come at a price. I've used them in the past for a few projects and highly recommend both the software and the company. Failing that, maybe run with Cubecart but have some custom modifications done. I seem to recall an 'express checkout' plugin / mod available for the software and rumours of version 5 having a built in 1-page checkout function. That may not help you so much in the short term though. Hope that helps or at least confirms any original feelings you had towards the solutions out there.
I love magento but as said, it is little high on the usage of server resources. How about using wp or joomla plugins?
Vendio has a one page checkout (that's customizable) - but we also offer the storefront as well. I'm not sure if you're only looking for a cart.
If you're thinking of running Magento, you're going to need a VPS at the least. I'd highly recommend a dedicated server. I've tried running it on a shared environment once - my account got suspended numerous times and was forced to upgrade to a VPS plan.
In this case I would recommend to use CRE Loaded. It is a free shopping cart that has lots of usefull features. If you have hard time managing it you can by an aditional software for shopping cart. I know a lot of people use Store Manager. I've never tried it personally but I've heard a lot of good feedbacks about it.
