Blog Catalog is a great active community. Not only can you add your blog, but you can join, add friends and promote your blog. Other than that, there's Bloghub, Ontoplist, and many more. I'd google "blog directory" and actually take a look to check PR and see if they seem active and not spammy.
My friend give me a list of blog catalog , about 70, I have to check them and choose some better ones. It's a huge task for me.
Yeah, it is a big task. The one I was referring to is a specific blog community http://www.blogcatalog.com/ It's easily the most popular and best way to get traffic. Just don't go around spamming users and you'll see a real benefit. Definitely start there imo.
