@ Lucy88: Captcha is necessary to stop automated downloaders (free users using JDownloader to walk away and make a coffee or walk the dog) and affiliates trying to cheat us for more $$$ by using rented VPS. Two flies slapped in one go with Captcha. We gave you guys a chance to be honest and we removed the captcha, all we got was greedy downloaders and uploaders. Not the way we conduct business or appreciate the way we are treated.

Downloaders will find it comfortable. There are currently no hosts that does downloads without captchas.

We did remove captcha today - just not completely as they will reappear for those who download heavy and will never be shown to the guy who just wants that 1 random 2gb file.

@ Mogggy: Have to agree with that. We have free users banging 900 kbps out on our line (with IDM), but we don't hear much from them as they're busy hawking lots of files, which is fine by us if they keep typing captcha in. What makes me sick to the stomach are people who uses our bandwidth (paid by Premiums), then complains about captcha because they can't walk the dog or take a dump when they got 200 files queued up in JDownloader.

i for one, don't want FS2FS, FS2HF, FS2Anything except FS2HD. if people want to leech my uploads they can do it the hard way download upload

yes u can, i have premium account in megaupload and i try it already, and the remote is in lighten speed sometimes

 

Hi Ricky, is there a way to block RL from leeching FS files? I hate how I upload some files and they would just leech it through RL and post it 2 minutes later. If there is a way to prevent such actions, it would be great. Thanks.

@ niketalk: No there isn't but we will be banning IPs from VPS doing mirrors or account sharing very soon.

Hi, what do you mean by sharing ? I'm logging and checking states on FS from my personal pc and uploading from my server is that sharing ? Because that are two different machines with different IP's from two different countries, is that any problem ?
I'm doing that on many file host and I've never had any problems.

No. Account sharing = when you let others use your account.

Websites that allow you to pay 8.99 to use 10 different host. That's sharing. We may go further than to closing their accounts and banning their VPS'.

When you say you are going to crack down on account sharing, will you only be looking at users who share accounts to download?
I believe many users on this forum upload from multiple locations or an external server to speed things up. So it would not be fair if we were banned because we used our accounts from multiple IP's to upload, but not download.

 

He already explained that its only about users who share accounts to download, and not uploaders that use different ip.
