When should I build Backlinks?

When should I be building my backlinks?

I'm still building my site, haven't put any articles on it yet, but it has pages and the main structure. I've just gotta tweak it a bit more before I start with the content.

So do I start it now or wait till I have some content?

 

If you are building back-links on high PR sites be prepared to have your site quickly spidered. With new sites, it can be hard to get them re-indexed to update content, design changes & meta-tag changes. I would be sure that you are ok with your site be indexed (and not updated for awhile) as is when you build your first link.

 

as soon as its up. announce it and build links. just continue putting contents to it then

 

first you have to complete your whole content in your website then you have to build back links..

 

My opinion is that it's okay to build links early, because often google doesn't find them until a month or so afterwards, unless you're building some pretty powerful links

In my own experiences, you could start building back links for your already existing pages now even though there might be no contents there. My suggestion would be you need to setup page titles and meta description tags at least.

Make sure you have a good amount of pages indexed already and tagged correctly, then you can start building backlinks

 

If you start building your links now, it would help you in getting your site indexed quickly.

 

i think first finish your site with good quality content and then start building back links..

You can start building backlinks now. What you'll want to do is leave quality comments and posts and then let the reader know that you are building a website on that topic.

 

i think you should start your link building only after your site is prepared to be spidered ..cause content is a king according to google...when first time your site will be indexed ..your site should have good and fresh content to get good impression in google..meta tags should also be added...best of luck brother...

Yes. You can build backlinks to your site even if it is new.

Start getting those high PR relevant links first and avoid getting too many links at once. However, if think you can consistently build that many links, then by all means do so.

Do not target your homepage always. If your site is new, I suggest building backinks to your subpages - at least 50-70% should point to subpages, the rest to your homepage.

It's a bit hard to promote an under construction site, don't you think? In saying that, it can be a good idea to get a good link or two to at least get the site indexed.

 

I agree with dcristo. Its not good to build backliks when your site is not ready or its in under construction. Make some pages and let them indexed, thenafter you can continue.
