HERE it is the question do you know something like this that will let me save my site and put at any hosting service?. WYSIWUG
also i tried to download the site i made with some of those software that let you save all the web in your hdd but it did nt work when i put in in my hosting.

Since I do not use any WYSIWYG editors or templates, or you call it website maker, I can not help much with that.

I would recommend you learn HTML and CSS :)

I'd say you should learn coding instead of using builders like dreamweaver etc since they usually generate crappy code, and coding is always good to know ;)

My favorite website builder is Easy Blogs. EB is pretty obscure but has features no other editor has. Like creation of an xml file. Released in 2002 and finished in 2008 Easy Blogs builds websites and blogs and archives pages and articles like a blog.

EB uploads to any host and has it's own ftp function. EB is not a wysiwyg but does preview in several browsers. EB creates it's own content management system too, which keeps your pages organized very well I might add.

EB comes with a separate template editor too and that makes it my favorite. By separating the template editing from the content creation you can modify your template and then apply it to every single page (only EB does that). When you want to modify or change your template completely EB can update every single page in your website with the click of a button.

I will disagree with Nimnix and say that a wysiwyg editor will allow you to design your pages as you learn to code. Learning code is hard enough without formal training but a good wysiwyg editor cuts the learning curve way down because you can see your changes before you load them up.

    Hope this helps

    Tim

I've tried about 3 times to create an EPK (electronic press kit) using Wix, and find it very non-user friendly.

I'll admit that the template I started with was not a beginner's template, but was billed as 'medium difficult.'

Still, the kind of challenges I experienced didn't seem like my lack of knowledge was the problem. I've done Blogger, Wordpress & GoDaddy, so I know my way around in general.

It felt like maybe Wix should have things set up on par with the ease of these other systems, but for some reason went in a slightly different direction.

I love the way the Wix flash templates look, though. I'm not going to give up... but I definitely find it a pain in the butt. I spend too much time for no result there, over and over. Still no finished site to show for the 2 or so hours I've spent.

Wix and weebly are so popular cause they spend tons of money on advertizing and so they have millions of free customers...
how can you provide even basic support when you have millions of clients?

for instance Site2You team gives each their Trial customer an hour of professional webmaster help... that's what I call customer care :)

unfortunately wordpress or joomla do not let you customize template layout easily.. you need to know HTML + CSS for that

I use Site Build It! Why just build a site when you could build a business. Having a site with a nice template won't earn you a thing. You need to know a whole lot more about doing business online. Learn all about building an online business. Then build a site that gets the click. http://www.best-website-tools.com/Site-Build-It.html

Just use Dreamweaver . Besides excellent use of templates you can also learn how to code which is essential in order to become a good webmaster .

Because I am new to all of this and I do use a drag and drop builder, I do have a question. I can get into the code and almost always figure out what it is doing. But what is the Crappy Code that some have referenced? Do you have an example?
