Anyone promote via MySpace profiles?

Does anyone here create dozens of profiles and add as many people as they can to promote their site?

I have one question for anyone who does, how often does MySpace delete profiles they "suspect" to be spam?

Is it hard to get a profile deleted from myspace?

Myspace does not work for all sites. It can work for sites like Music or community. If you try to market a business which does not connect with young users it wont work

What about putting your link in MySpace comments for a MySpace template site?

Does MySpace limit how many comments you can make within a certain amount of time?

I think MySpace can work if done properly and with the right site.

that article is about as wrong as it could have been. Sounds like they are a myspace marketer themselves and are trying to discourage people from attempting to do the same and cut into his profits. You can make hundreds of dollars a day through myspace and affiliate programs.

Myspace does pretty well for my site (music related). I just added a forum, and had a few users (mostly from myspace) sign up straight away. That said, my adsense revenue has been 0 for a few days now...

yeah myspace marketing kind of works,

but yeah it was more effective 6 months to one year ago....

every thing has been over done to the MAX on it now, people are soo use to spam and hackers they done even read bulletins any more. Unless you target them correctly :D

I still do it yes, but not as much as a once did :D Its gettin way too spammey

Myspace works fairly well......once you figure out what to do (it'll depend on your niche and what exactly you're trying to do of course)...I'd outsource my myspace work though...(Myspace is too buggy in nature, takes minutes to simply login...im quite impatient I guess)

I market on myspace, just basically marketing my blog to get more hits. There is definitely a way to get a lot of traffic from myspace. Lets just say it involes a lot of automation scripts and bots.

It does work if you targert something towards young teens that they would want to buy. Also you could link to a site from your main page and offer something free that will get people to sign up. It all depends on your niche and if your trying to profit from it right away it might now work as good. If you are wanting to get traffic then it could work pretty well.

I find bulletins still work and work very well, however it's sheer weight of numbers though, you have to send them to 100k + people at a minimum. The days of creating a few profiles and getting 10/20k friends and then sending bulletins and comments out to them are over.

As with anything, your niche will make or break whether your MySpace marketing efforts are successful.
