Android probably on top over iOS but still the marketing and attractive features is in competition between them, which one that suits most people's taste will win.

Google Android is an excellent OS without a doubt. They have been updated regularly as well. However, the security is the biggest concern in my opinion. It is very popular for user and same for hackers either. As long as Google cannot fix the loop hole then it will not going to its peak anyway.

I think that iOS will win because of it's huge popularity among people and also the fact that it can get you laid more but I won't go into that.

I do however think that Android is a great operating system with a bright future *image of sun*.

What the question? It's like asking if sun will rise tomorrow.
    Of course Android.
Apple iPhone will end-up exactly as Apple computers end-up in 80s. Good product, bad strategy.

You have a point, but I wouldn't bet on history repeating itself this time. I lived the 80s and the market has changed since then -users are a lot less tech savy now. It would be interesting to ask this same question on -say- a gardening forum, or even better a teens forum. I may be wrong, but I think Android has quite less brand recognition than iPhone in non technical forums...

stampavideo, I agree with your point of view. I personally had many discussions at work wih people having iphone and so exciting about it and people with Android. Here what I found, people who can develop like Android, as it more open and let you to develop easily. You know java, just downloa plugin for eclipse and go ahead. People who likes iphone, have no development backgound and they happy about closed black box.
I read that google developed tool that allows to develop applications for Android without development background - that will push android forward.
From other side Apple just loosing markets. Flash is not for iphones, applications running with AdMob not allowed anymore, but instead only apple ad network is allowed. What I see they are going same way the did 30 years ago.
Also android now installed on 5 different brands with many telecom providers, while iphone doesn't. Even after iphone 4 come to the market, iphone market decreases constantly and androids taking it over.
Most of people who got iphone4 are people doing upgradeds from previous iphone versions, but not new people.

Yes, I think in future Android will beat Apple. As per my knowledge the Android is based on Java and being free source which means there is a possibility to be on top.
