Yep, I guess it must be paying off for so many people to be behind these scams. I still don't understand how people do fall for them, greed I guess.

Forget about Nigerian emails just got scammed last week by a true-blue American living in Nevada!!! - SunWestGroup.com

She said she could send my email to 500,000 ( permission-based ). Needless to say it never happened because I never saw extra traffic to my website!!

Scammers are right here amongst us. We need not look far out. I'm weary now of anyone and everyone....

    Beware....

Check http://www.419eater.com/ to see how some deal with these scammers. Turn the scam around and scam the scammer, or just plain fuck with them. It's way too funny.

edit- woah, just realised this is a very old thread that someone brought back up from the depths of oblivion.

even on our local classifieds got scams like these... and if you're really st*pid, you'll fall on these... i also did placed an ad abot selling my phone on craigslist, and after 30 minutes of posting it, my e-mail was flooded with these scams telling me to ship the item on nigeria or somewhere else... pffft...

Haha, justice! Scambaiting has suddenly become one of my new interests. It's almost like a sport, and almost like crime fighting, with the amusement that crank-calling gave us when we were kids. I get these 419 emails all the time and now I think its time to start putting them to good use.:D

i used to sale on craigslist, receiving 3-5 scam e-mail per day
unfortunately excessive fraudulent activity turns off potential buyers, years ago graigslist was great site to sell stuff, not any more

Yeah I was rather surprised, that page ranks for some search phrases involving craigslist and scams, so I'm guessing he does periodic monitoring.

    Hi Steelmyself,
how was your day ?I want you to understand that the deal is on as my
secretary as posted the payment already, but there was a slight error
i guess we can handle with care, instead of the actual amount $260
for the item, she made out the check for $2660 she claimed that was
what i requested but she didn't get that straight. So once you have
the check please cash it and deduct the money for your goods plus $50
that for your running around expenses. The excess fund should please be
sent to my mover via western union, this fund will be use in offsetting
the cost of the shipment he as undertaken for me recently.
**Please email at once to let me know that i can trust to have the
excess funds sent to my mover**

WHAT? REALLY? I was born at night but not last night. Seriously, should I call the local PD and see if I can set up the "mover" to show up? Or just burn the money order?

The address on the shipping label is:
    Tuttle Brown
    877-866-8057
    Genesis Manufacturing Inc
    2 Morrison Dr
    Penfield Pa 15849
