Is it strange to rank top 10 for a term in Google, but not even make it in the top 100 for either Yahoo or MSN?

Personally, I've found yahoo to be easy. It doesn't particularly need your site to be very popular in terms of off page SEO (links etc). Relevant content and keywords are important in the case of yahoo.

I see things in a unit and don't feel any differentiation. All activities you do for high ranking in google, automatically you do for yahoo or bing. I have seen many times that when my one keyword made new entry in google, quickly I saw my rankings in yahoo and bing also. There are some different rules set by those search engines separately but you are not to be worried. For example, google ignores Nofollow backlinks, yahoo does not. It does not mean that your are every time very selective to search for Do follow pages. Continue do your work without any tension. The result will be good finally. Good luck.

Google is majority targeted because its the toughest Search Engine to rank, and moreover if you manage to do so, two you will automatically rank in Yahoo and Bing.

In my opinion, Google is the most popular SE. Thats why everyone discussing about it. Well, when we taking Yahoo and MSN these two are entirely different. For my new website it appeared in Google within a couple of days. But I cant even find out my website in yahoo and MSN till now. I think the difference in the crawler algorithms makes this.

I have a small website that is fairly new that get's ranked #1 on Yahoo! and MSN. It's #5 on Google. I think that's a pretty clear indication that Google favors age.

Google has over 60% of the market share, and typically what usually works for Google works for all the rest, so folks tend to focus on Google
