Does anyone know how much of a difference these is for the amount gained per click for different countries. For example the average price of an ad clicked in the UK compared to Brazil?
I dont know but I do know is price per click is generally higher in developed countries like the US & UK compared to third world countries
As we have less advertisers here, less people doing online business, lesse people with internet access, etc , the average bid per keyword will be lower than on 1st world countries... so the gain per click is lower...
Thanks for your help, I'm thinking about advertising in new countries using PPC but I'm worried the AdSense earnings will fall because of this.
IMO there are five tiers (generally speaking and there maybe exceptions) which are in all PPC programs where clicks for certain countries pay more than others. Top Tier: USA/Canada pay the most Tier Two: UK/Ireland/Australia Tier Three: New Zealand, Rest Of EU, Japan Tier Four: Other Westernised and Fast Developing Nations (Eg china, russia, south africa, Mexico) Tier Five: Rest of the world. When looking at creating a website that you require to be at least selfsustainable through ads. Usually traffic will have to be from the top three tiers.
Yes, but there are less sites in others languages than in English, so its a lot more easy to get good SERPs....
Quite right, If we speak about google. Here, in Russia, it is much easier made the way in top10 in google.ru, than in google.com
The difference is huge. I have context AdWords campaign where the top bid is 3 cents. I've limited my traffic sources to US, UK, Canada and Australia. Still, about 60% of traffic from that campaign comes from Brazil. It totally sucks, it doesn't convert and it's worthless. I know that US-UK traffic has a 5:1 payout ratio when compared to Russian traffic (just read about it today, as a matter of fact). I bet that Brazil is just about as bad.
YokoOno, I didn´t get it... If you limited your traffic only to these four countries, how are you getting traffic from Brazil?
Correct. This is part of my plan. I am developing my sites in English and once they are mature, i will translate the articles there to my own language and get top positions easily in my country. Maybe a better plan is to get the domains now! But i already have enough things to do..
