@ kaizoku: Captcha will NEVER be completely removed. It will be there and for those who think it is too hard to type in a captcha and think it is a liberty to leech 40gb in a day as a free user, need to look for another playground. Same goes for the idiots who attemps to defraud us.

@ all: When a user is disabled, they are flagged by our acct. dept. for trying to defraud us. Post your username in this thread and I'll be able to publically tell you why you are disabled.

 

But a few days ago FS talked about a mixed solution for this. 1-5 Links / Day / IP --> No-Recaptcha | +5 Links / Day / IP --> Recaptcha ON. I think this it could be a good solution for all

 

@ librebajada: Yes, something like that (not exactly that), and we will have a function out on Monday/Tuesday. We had it out on Thursday, but we found out it was bugged, so we had to revise it

The remote upload at fileserve is the best. Seriously I have never ever seen such an fast transfer of files form one server to another. With hoster like filesonice it's like gambling. So please keep it up Ricky .

Is there a problem with FTP upload today (sorry, I know, it's sunday ) ?
all my ups this morning get stuck in pending ftp files with "...processing"...

 

ok replying to myself, seems to work, but with some serious delay (2-3 hours I'd say) . only 2 remaining "to process", I keep the faith

I hope fileserve doesn't shave downloads, because it's likely what I'm going to be going with, as well as some other one someone told me about in pm.

@ fiono: Was that the one person who got his "1" friend to download? Person should get a bigger sample size. Get 100 friends to download and see for yourself. Until then, if they're only getting their "friends" (of 1) to download their files, they may as well go find another host if they don't believe in us.

 

Im a natural skeptic. But I said I AM going to use FS. So no harm done. I think it was some other place that shaved dls anyway.

I started using your service a few days ago, since then I had many complaints that UK users cannot download, and that they can never get ANY Fileserve link to work, regardless if it's a file I uploaded, or anyone else uploaded.

Once they click the "Free Download" button, the 15 second timer will start. Then afterwards, instead of allowing the user to download, it will say "You need to wait 600 seconds to start another download."

It shows this message even though the user did not download any file.
The IP address from one of the affected users is 81.102.99.xxx

This is actually a very serious issue, and since I had many complaints, I'm not sure if I can continue to use this. I've spoken to moderators of several forms, and they have actually banned Fileserve for this reason.

Is there a chance that this can be fixed?

@ live3144: You need to verify your email. Add "verification @ fileserve.com" & "webmaster @ fileserve.com" to your safelist/whitelist of your email, request verification and wait for approx. an hour and you should have it in your hand.
