All of the proceeds will go to the people with five-star ratings in your homless persons rankings book.
OK all kidding aside, there are the ones who just became homeless, they need help urgently before they start going downhill and get comfy. Once they get sucked into that lifestyle, good luck getting them out of it ... ever!
You should see the little tweaker colony of young homeless dudes in Pacific Beach. They need their asses kicked.
i give them money if it looks like they need it sometimes. Some people just get into a jam sometimes and its not there fault. And well then theres the other kind....
I used to, but don't anymore. Especially if they are fit to work. There's such a labor shortage in Alberta..ANYONE can get a job here, so they do have opportunities, they're just not using them. Besides, my morning coffee would be much quicker if they'd given up their laziness and started working at Timmies... But on a serious note though, giving them money is IMO, not the best thing. I don't want them to start buying drugs with that money so I findit much better to donate to reliable agencies
Oh i just noted that this was geared towards my post back on page one. How can you come to such a closed-minded conclusion? Who the hell are you tell me, that those kids were not in some serious need of nutrition? Did you see the what they looked like? Did you watch them eat? Yes, I am more than certain the kids and their mom hopped into their 7 series parked just around the corner right after lunch was done. Idiot! What's even more pathetic of you, is that you expect them to 'do something' for you. Yea, I'm willing to bet you're the type of guy who goes out to find little 10yr old girl runaways and then tries to coax them into 'doing something' for money, for you.
Never. We have a welfare state so people don't need to beg. If they've been refused benefits there's usually a good reason. ( Ex-civil servant )
In most cases I try not to b/c the bums in LA are kinda freaky... But i did give 5$ to a guy in san fran once because his sign said "need money for weed"... I figured honesty should get him somewhere..
I saw him walk into a Mcdonalds shortly after... I figured he was just looking for his dealer... NOW THIS IS ALL STARTING TO MAKE SENSE... How dare he lie to me and use my money for food!
We are all people, no better or worse than one another. If you choose to help someone than do it because you feel the need to, for if you do it seeking a reward you will lose more than you will gain. If your inclined to insult someone because they stand on a corner asking for help, then what kind morals do you really have, for they are not bothering you, so how can you possibly be offended by what they are doing, maybe it is because your life is so superficially, and you have lost all sense of what caring really is! da!
I never give anything to homeless people. In fact, when someone asks me for change, I keep walking past them down the street without saying a thing. In most cases, they will simply use the change towards buying alcohol, a substance which is designed to keep them dumbed down and under the control of the establishment. In most cases, alcohol and drugs is the reason they're homeless to begin with. Unlike many people, I don't give homeless people money because I'm greedy. That has nothing to do with it at all. The reason why I don't give them any money is because we live in the United States, one of the best countries in the world. If you get a job, work hard, save your money, and use your brain to become educated, there is absolutely no reason why you should be asking anyone for anything. Give a homeless person money? Ha! I won't even give money to members of my family. They should learn how to save their money. That is the problem with this society. People spend money like crazy and wander why they have nothing to show for it...........the only people I feel sorry for are people who are mentally challenged or children.......they cannot fend for themselves. I do support programs for these people, but a lot of homeless people are homeless because they choose to be that way.
