Hello friends, please tell me your experience about that: if I have a website on Google 1st page and that position gives me 10,000 users daily... for how long? After 1 year will the traffic decrease? (assuming that my position on Google won't change) or the traffic will be always the same? or even grow? thank you
It Depends on the Niche!! See!! Your blog was on Gadgets on 2010. But when the time passes, no one searches for it again!! But instead, if you rank for Gadgets, You will certainly gain more visitors since, Those fields are Updated in each and every Go, So people keep on searching for them!! ~ExP~
it will eventually decrease once users can't find what they're looking for. so make sure you continuously post good contents and informative. some users take notes to some sites that are useless to them of course.
@digitallover, that will depend on the trend of the keyword. We can't neglect the possibility that there might be some months that less people will use the keyword to look for the information and vice versa. That is why it is important to diversify your traffic source and not solely rely on just 1 source, or keyword. So when a keyword performs less the next month, you still have the average traffic that you always want with the support coming from other keywords you also have targeted.
If you can retain position your traffics should be increased most of the times. The traffics will infinite until the Google replacement comes. It could be any search engine apart from Google or even a new way of doing search. It is like when Google came took over Yahoo around ten years ago.
To stay up in the 1st page of Google need extra work. Keep your content fresh and helpful to others, refresh your website looks, give what people want depending on your niche, find keyword that is less competitive but still profitable. Maybe this can answer your question.
Funny question. It depends, if your competitors will outperform you or you will outperform them. It also depend how popular your niche will be in 1 year. And it depends on Google itself, i.e. if they will change their algorithm, somebody will get more and somebody will loose.
well i think users searching on google is changing by time, it means if a word bring to you 10000 visitor per day , by time it can be decreased and may be in some suddenly period it rise up and so on, you can't take one word to be your guide and your enterance for visitors you must know that users searching every period time for something else it may be similar to your word and may be not. think about your self were you searched for something 1 year ago you still think about it or searching about??? i think not your mind is changing and your search change too
Nothing is infinite. The worst thing you can do is rest on your laurels! Keep advertising and try to stay versatile and always look to expand if you can. Like my Warriors site, i know Warriors won't always be as popular as it is so we opened up a small area for other fan subjects. If Warriors goes down we will hopefully already have those other areas established if it does.
It depends. You would have to continue to build links to it or your competitors would take the top spot from you after time.
Why you are focusing on one keyword only , try to get any other top traffi keyword also. Traffic may be decrease but make some changes on site off and on.
It will not stay for long because Google is always changing manually the rankings of some popular sites
