http://techgeeks-online.com/forum/index.php I'd like to know 3 things: 1) If you were a random web surfer, would you register for the forum? 2) What could be done better to increase your chances of registering? 3) Do you think the forum categories are optimal? Or should they be renamed/merged/etc.? Thanks.
Very simple and nice design you have , Also loads fast. Nice forum. But there is very little activity there. I think you should launch some contest to increase activity in the forum or you can also use paid posting. Good luck for the forum.
If I were more involved in technology than just the webmaster side of things, I would most definitely register to your forum. I think your categories are really well thought out, and I absolutely LOVE the theme you have.. Is it custom? I love it either way! Keep it up mate, I wish you all the success in the world, Chuckun EDIT: As for ARE$'s post, I disagree. PhpBB is not bad software at all. I actually prefer it to vBulletin if it's customised.. And there are much better SEO mods for phpBB than there are for vBulletin.. And if you have the knowhow to do your own integral SEO, then phpBB is a lot easier to work with to do so.. I have a lot of history with this so I do know what I'm talking about.. EDIT2: One suggestion - put Windows 8 as a subforum of Windows..
Haha it's actually one of the defaults but you have to download it. It's called ProsilverSE. I just took that and did a little customization here and there. I should do that Thanks for that. I'm a bit of an SEO guru and I've done everything SEO-wise except for canonical tags.
Just signed up! Seems like a great little community with a lot of my general interests. Nice forums guys.
I like your forum. One thing that struck me is seeing "Off Topic" up near the top of the list. I would bury this toward the bottom, and let the hot categories suck people in once they hit the site.
