I'm excited to see new changes. Hopefully, it will be for the better and provide a temporary cure to AdSense-blindness.
Thats pretty cool, by decreasing the exposure of the url it encourages the user to click on the ads directly. Cool stuff
300x250 and 336x280 always work im my form but i doubt the format 728x90 will work i'll be trying it in my forum for about 3 months..
The 728x90's are working great right below headers in my blogs. It almost looks like a list of contents for the site. My ctr is 3x higher.
This new format has definitely caused a DROP in CTR for me, IMO they look less like the site's own text links and more like ads now. Hope they give an option to revert to previous format asap.
Same here, My CTR is dropped by 2-3% because i mostly use 336x280 block. URL next to ad link might be the problem i guess.
I can see the new formats on my site. The CTR has doubled, but the click values have gone down. My earnings are the same as earlier..
Since the format change, I've seen a slight decrease in revenue, which may be seasonal. Like a 3% reduction. Aesthetically, the new format is not as good looking as the old format. With the chopped-off URL text, it almost has the look of a code malfunction. And the overall appearance is slightly out of balance. On my pages, the leaderboard ads only display 3 ads, and there is a gap of space due to the Google name in the lower right corner. If revenue holds, I'm fine with it, but prefer the appearance of the previous.
