You can have all the unique content on your website, yes, spiders will love you, over time your site
will get more indexing, but if you do not promote, then that is about as far as your site will go.
You have to promote if you expect people to come visit..its a cycle thing...the more you get going,
the faster it will go, the more visits you get, more content, high indexing. You always hear, once
a person stops promoting, then their site takes a noise dive...just because you are indexed, does
not mean you are indexed in all the right ways.

Post content, promote, work on your backlinks, then start over again.

content maybe king, but you can not survive on content alone, its
takes more effort then that to get traffic to your site. You can not
drink water, and not eat food, you have to have both to live.

Good contents will make people come back for more and generate words-of-mouth.

Crap contents will deterred those people from coming back forever IMO.

For me, quality content a day are better than a number of somewhat-ok contents every day...

    Yes, you are right.

    1. Add content to your site regularly. Content must be related to your site and add some important keywords.
    2. Promote your site so people will come to visit and read your contents.
    3. Search engine will come and index your pages.

Make sure your blog/website is search engine optimized. Pay attention to H1, Title, Meta Description, and links/texts.

Outsource the job of writing to some experienced writers. You can find plenty of them here in this forum.

There is also a distinction which needs to be made concerning the kind of site or blog you are building. If you are building an authority site, you really need your content to be great. You should write all of it yourself, or work only with top-quality writers who really understand your niche. Autoblogging is completely out.

But if you are building a site just for marketing purposes which is intended to drive traffic to another site or offer, chances are your prospects are not going to read your entire site, or come back over and over again any way. You need the "top-of-site" content which is immediately visible to visitors to be good. But the depth of content on your site is probably never going to be read. The only reason you are adding to it is to keep the search engines interested in your site because it is being regularly updated.

This is not to suggest that you can pay absolutely no attention to the additional content you are adding. It must remain relevant, it must read cleanly and not be gibberish, it must include keywords which the search engines are expecting to find on your site. But it does not have to be first-rate material either.

Remember too that the search engines today value activity as much as content, if not more. Time visitors spend on your site, comments posted to it, people coming back for multiple visits, etc.. Anything you can do to increase the activity around your site is going to be at least as helpful as adding new content, if not more.

Writing a thousand words per day can really be tiring especially when they are of different niche. You get to diversify so as not to lose great content and good words. There are lots of good article writers available virtually, you can utilize them and yes, they are not that expensive. At least in this way, you’ll be able to update each site you own without the hassle of writing them all.

I recommend having a professional writer if you can. Don't be afraid to spend $10 + for good content. If you have good content, people will redistribute your content and your site will grow organically instead of you having to promote so heavily. To me, having 1 good article with good exposure is worth 100 + bland and poorly written ones.
