Although one day's figures don't tell the full story the way long term trends do, my eCPM for today is up from last Monday by around 30%+/- while my CTR is about the same (figures approximate I don't want to be too specific). This means my PPC for today is also higher than last Monday.

I like to compare days of a week rather than the previous day as my trends to be more stable on a day of the week basis than they are on a day to day basis.

So based on today's stats compared to last Monday's figures it would appear that blocking MFA sites does help. Oh for reference sake, my site is getting around 20,000 page views per day right now.

This is interesting, I would like to see if we can find this kind of information for YPN sites.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

I'd suggest that you start by looking at the YPN ads that appear on your site. Without clicking on your own YPN ads there must be a way for you to find out the URL of the landing pages for YPN ads just like we can for AdSense ads. Visit the site and see if it looks spammy or not.

You may want to try out another great tool to preview the AdSense, Chitika and YPN ads. Hope it helps.:)

    Glad to hear that.

Also, from one of those adding a grey reputation to me:
Was this true? Then, I might think Google AdSense team differently. To Google, thanks for killing our enemies. ;)

Maybe if enough AdSense publishers start taregeting MFAs for exclusion it will force MFAs to start bidding higher because it will be harder for them to keep the same traffic levels.

Google isn't doing anything in relation to this thread. In this thread, website owners are blocking MFA sites and finding that it increases revenues because ads to MFA sites tend to be very low value clicks which bleeds off clicks that might have gone to higher value ads. We are doing what Google has been unable to do, eliminate junky advertisers from our AdSense ads.

If you go to the advertisers page and it looks like a MFA (Made for AdSense) page with little to no REAL content but it is plastered with AdSense, YPN or other PPC ads front and center such that this is all the user sees then the odds are very good that it is a low paying AdSense ad. These have to be low paying ads because the page has no inherent value in and of itself so people aren't going to want to come back. This means that the advertiser on average has to spend less money on users clicking on their own ads than they earn from those same users clicking on the ads on their site.

This is a recycling of the old ploy of paying for eyeballs to sell eyeballs. In order for it to work one must spend very little on the eyeballs one buys.

The first thing one should do is try and do exactly what you suggest and find the MFA sites that are displaying in one's own AdSense ads. The bad ad sites list just helps flush out one's own list by adding some of the most common domains others have added to their own list. The idea is that you won't find all of the MFA sites that are being advertised on your site where it just isn't practical to use the Google AdSense tool on every page.
