What is with posts now not being brought to the top if I add to a sales post that one of my sites has been sold (if the post is selling multiple)? What is wrong with that? That's not a post simply just to bump it - it's important information...and yes, it helps bring the thread more exposure too. How is anyone supposed to makes sales here if the window of exposure is so short? Seriously, am I missing something? Was there a post about getting around this that I didn't see? I understand wanting to get rid of bumpers who bump with no good reason. But sometimes there are valid reasons. This makes no sense.
You can choose how you want to sort threads on a per-user basis. If you want to sort all forums by "Last Post Time", you can set that under your settings here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/profile.php?do=editoptions (look for Thread Sort Order) If you are just trying to bump your thread to the top, use the "Bump" link at the bottom of the first post in your thread.
Thanks, but assuming my settings were set to default, I'm assuming many, many people's are the default as well. This must have changed recently, right? Because it used to be the thread would come up at the top once responding to it, etc.. Also, the bump is only allowed ONCE every thirty days for however many threads I have going. Kind of makes that option non-existent if I have multiple sales threads. Is there going to be any change to this? Thanks.
No, something else is different. I haven't been that active on here over the summer - but it's more recent than a year.
Dunno what to tell you, the option to set the sort order how you want was added only AFTER we changed the default sort order for Buy/Sell/Trade: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1441011
