I think you're asking whether links within blog posts or threads are more valuable from an SEO perspective. If that's your question then it has a lot more to do with the integrity of the site - Page rank, relevance, neighborhood, age, size, etc. - and also the relevancy of the individual page where the link is coming from. Hope that helps.
i agree, it doesn't matter where the link is on the page, as long as the page has good PR or relevance
There is nothing comparable to these two, I think as long as relevant and high PR like, agree with upstairs
Hi, In my own experiences, threads would refer to the original posts on forums. While other posts on the same threads would be something like comments for blogs. I think they would be no difference between these 2 terms for SEO purpose. have a nice day,
For me, of course the entire thread has great value as it represents the topic as a whole compare to just a post within thread. It will be better too if your post on the thread was on top for keyword prominence.
Threads or post in forums? well, it may be the same thing. thread is also a post. or your post is in the thread. For me, its also important as Google still index both.
Threads are not specific to any given keywords and its density while post can be controlled to have this. Depending on the quality of the forum where threads are created, google may treat post to be an advantage for links than threads.
If you ask any question on a forum/start a new thread and get link in signature or reply to any thread and get link in signature, link value will be same in both cases.
When one starts a thread, it is done after all with a post and I guess google would view the first post just as similar to all other posts that follows it. I doubt google would be giving any special preference to the first post with reference to the other posts. Regards, RightMan
