How easy is it to upload new music? One of the biggest complaints about IPOD is that it can be difficult to update, especially for non-techie types.

eh i rather use a cheap rca which has 2gb, is smaller than a shuffle, ability to sort, and has that sweet built in usb so it automatically connects to any computer. All for $50 from a friend. Screw the hype and all this crap. One person gets and ipod now everyone has to have one.

I'm fine with my ipod for now.

But I wouldnt get another one. Hopefully Zune will have good battery life. The only thing that concerns me is that they are going to **** up all the music I put on it with Digitial Restrictions Management.

I'm a big Microsoft fan and I really like what they are releasing, the Zune to work with your PC and TV wirelessly and more they will be making more stuff wireless so that way we all have more fun and I am going to be getting a Zune hopefully and I have had an Ipod and sold it the next day, lol.

Zune is not that great of a name. Not the brand name i would place $100's of miilion of dollars on to try to knock something as solid as ipod of its top spot. Good luck Bill, you'll need it. They can take a portion of the market away from Apple but probably nowhere near as mush as they would like.

Zune isn't that great of a name....? Oh well. But I really like that comingzune.com site. Haha, Wonder if they thought that far ahead when initially planning the product name.

Kinda like ipod has done? You know, locking you into apples hardware with DRM?

Think about it. Lets say you have paid $500 for songs. Thats 500 songs that you will have to BUY AGAIN in order to just swich MP3 player brands. Like from ipod to zune. But hey, it's Apple, and Apple can do no wrong.

They can keep infecting the music with DRM and I will keep downloading off usenet or torrents. When they decide to stop being greedy idiots, I will stop being a "thief" and a "pirate".

MS aint looking to hit it big in their first outing.

They'll do just like they did it with xbox, by first entering the market with a technologically more advanced product than the current market leader. Kill the smaller opposition with it, and then come face to face with the leader in the 2nd or 3rd iteration.

Have a feeling that ipod and PSP will be forgotten gadgets by 2009 and it'll be zune on which i'll be watching my tv, listening to music, chatting and playing my games.

Neither is that device called "iPod" or any of the iProducts. I'm sure it will be great, I'll be telling tons of people about it and there will be tons of hype. :)

The Creative Labs Zen Vision: M won this year's CES "Best of Show"

it has a better screen than the video ipod, works with just about any file format,
great battery life, built-in FM and audio recorder, and works with music subscription services (like Rhapsody, Yahoo Music, Napster, Urge, ect.) I don't know how the zune compares to the Vision: M, but if it does, it's a better than the ipod (as far as features go) but with the amazing form factor, user interface, and the market share apple enjoys with the ipod, it could be a long road ahead for the zune.
