Hi, Thanks for replies, I’m not that bothered with PR it doesn’t bring in sales! I have been discounting links from related sites due to them being nofollow but that will now change. Thanks for your help
According to me no follow links can refer the visit's just rather it is not useful to the point of view of Google page rank..
LOL, no, don't worry at all! You can not get penalized for nofollow links. Most of the blogs you might comment on are nofollow nowadays. Nofollow just don't pass any PR juice. Building nofollow and dofollow backlinks is the most natural looking way of backlink building. And even if they will not pass PR juice so they will help your ranking in the serp's and also will help your traffic. Just don't spam! If you spam you can get penalized and also your blog or forum comments/posts will be deleted by the moderator. Cheers verdecove
You won't be penalized for nofollow links as long as you are getting links from related sites and you don't spam.
A nofollow link is a link that is included on a web page using standard html markup but includes an attribute to prevent passing link juice or reputation to the destination page.
i think the no-follow and do-follow links is good in they own ways Google likes do-follow but not so much with no-follow but with the other search engine no-follow and do-follow links count
well i don't think they are helpful in google ranking but they do help you in bringing traffic and in alexa ranking as well.
I completely agree with GeorgeKuipers. The PR by itself doesn't count. Even though you can have PR 1 you still can consistently build 1000's of quality links which on the long run will be picked up even from the Big G. Also don't forget the Facebook is coming into play with they own Like Rank.
