What do you think should be the daily budget at Adwords?

When I used to advertise by Adwords, I used to have a daily budget of 3 dollars. What is your budget like? What is your opinion about Adwords as a whole?

It really depends on your profitability. If you're running a profitable campaign, and you're being limited by your budget - increase your budget.

If you're losing money on the campaign, try to improve your landing page, keyword selection, or ad copy.

$3.00/day is a low budget. It would be difficult to get a significant amount of traffic with such a low budget.

You also need enough traffic stats to optimise your campaign. If you set your budget too low you will not be able to effectively split test ads. That's simply because you will not have enough information to make an accurate decision.

And as Mel said, if it's profitable what's stopping you from investing more?

There is no such thing as one universal right budget for Google AdWords. It is different for everyone. One reason why they give you that feature is because they want to give you control over how much you wish to spend. Your industry and the demand for what you offer based on your keyword list should actually tell you how much budget you should be going in for.

    See it' simple.

Let's say you have a product which gives you profit of $10. You sell 2 to 3 every day. Let's assume that you get 100 visitors a day. This means your conversion rate is roughly 2.5%.

Let's look at a best case scenario:

Let's assume you get super cheap clicks and you pay a maximum of .10 per click. And you sell 3 products after spending $10 on Adwords. Which means a profit of $20. ((3 x 10) - 10)

If you sold $30 dollars worth of product using your regular methods and you ad your $20 this means you have made $50 on that day which makes Adwords profitable.

    In other words....

if for every dollar you put you get back more dollars then by all means go for it. As long as it makes you more money.

Common sense says to only pay if you are profiting. If you are losing money, then decrease the daily budget. Good luck!

How will reducing your daily budget help? If you are not making money with your current budget reducing it will, at best, make you loose more money at a slower rate.
